Risk Cost Analyst

Position Summary
The Risk Cost Analyst provides analytical and administrative support to clients’ risk and cost management functions. This role is responsible for collecting data, performing risk and cost analyses, preparing reports, and maintaining documentation to ensure effective monitoring of risks and associated costs. The position works closely with project controls, estimating, and scheduling teams to support sound decision-making and financial planning.
Multiple opportunities for this position may be available through various client contracts. Depending on the requirements set forth by the clients, the employee may be imbedded within the client agency, working in a hybrid environment, or undertaking totally remote work.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assists in gathering data for risk and cost assessments across project processes
  • Supports the monitoring of project cost drivers, market factors, and external conditions that may affect budgets and risk exposure
  • Performs preliminary analyses using established qualitative and quantitative methods, including cost modeling and scenario analysis
  • Assists in integrating risk findings into cost estimates, forecasts, and contingency planning efforts
  • Supports the development and tracking of risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with project controls, estimating, and scheduling teams
  • Prepares draft reports, presentations, and summaries for review by senior risk and cost analysts
  • Maintains organized and up-to-date records of risk registers, cost assessments, and supporting documentation
  • Provides general administrative and analytical support to ensure consistency and accuracy in the risk and cost management processes

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, construction management, engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in risk, cost, or project support roles
  • Familiarity with risk management and cost analysis concepts
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and follow established procedures

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Certifications/ Licensures

  • Experience supporting large-scale projects or infrastructure programs
  • Familiarity with risk and cost management tools (e.g., Excel, @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
