Senior Scheduler – Forensic Claims

Position Summary
The Senior Scheduler – Forensic Claims is responsible for performing forensic delay analysis, evaluating schedules, and assessing contractor claims for projects for REJ Solution clients. This role involves developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules with a specialized focus on forensic investigations, dispute resolution, and risk management. The position ensures schedule integrity, identify risks, assess financial impacts, and provide technical support for claims resolution.
Multiple opportunities for this position may be available through various client contracts. Depending on the requirements set forth by the clients, the employee may be imbedded within the client agency, working in a hybrid environment, or undertaking totally remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts detailed forensic delay analyses and develop narratives explaining delay causation.
  • Reviews and analyzes contractor-submitted Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and schedule claims.
  • Provides independent evaluations of requests for schedule adjustments and extensions.
  • Develops and maintains project schedules, including updates, duration changes, and scenario analyses.
  • Evaluates critical paths, near-critical paths, and milestone risks to support project forecasting.
  • Prepares “what-if” schedules to model potential impacts and mitigation strategies.
  • Assists in preparing rebuttal documentation and participate in claims review meetings.
  • Identifies scheduling risks, including environmental, utility, and seasonal constraints, and propose solutions.
  • Collaborates with financial analysts to assess the cost implications of schedule changes.
  • Supports internal and external audits by preparing forensic findings and reports.
  • Mentors junior and mid-level scheduling staff, providing technical oversight and guidance.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in forensic scheduling or claims analysis.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge of delay analysis methodologies (Windows Analysis, Time Impact Analysis, Impacted As-Planned, Collapsed As-Built).
  • Proven ability to develop and review construction schedules from design through execution.
  • Familiarity with claims management, construction documentation, and dispute resolution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

 

Preferred Qualifications / Certifications / Licenses

  • Professional scheduling certification (e.g., AACE PSP, PMI-SP).
  • Advanced experience in delay analysis for large-scale transportation or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with integrated project controls and cost management systems.
  • Experience presenting to executives, legal teams, and external agencies.
  • Prior supervisory or mentoring experience in scheduling or forensic analysis.
